I have noted the projects ongoing through CDF Funds but there is need to update
the information. Definitely alot has happenned between May last year and now.
There is an allocation of Ksh. 3Million under electrification. Iam interested to
know where you expect to utilize this fund as igwamiti requires some fund to
finance connection to the national grid and would highly appreciate your due
consideration.

can we be informed the locations of these projects because i feel the MP is so
much for the Lusogwa side of the constituency leaving other sides especially
Sipili market which has great potential of growing to a major town in the
region?
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY BY K.P.L.Co.
Mr.NICE 24-01-09 10:55:47

I beg to bring to the attention of Hon.Ndiritu about this issue.KPLC cleared
trees, crops and destroyed fences while extending their line from Sipili to
Ndurumo. This affected about six farmers who own Plots No.640,641,642,643(Btwn
Sipili police post and SIPILI FGCK church) to mention but a few.The most
unfortunate thing is that their staff have not been responding to the calls from
the affected constituents. We wish to see your hand Mheshimiwa for things are now
out of our reach. It is ironical that the same people have been struggling to
have power but nothing seem to be coming forth.I wish this happened when power
was going to their DARK HOMESTEADS.

The CDF projects listed are supposed to benefit the common man down there in the
village.I believe the impact should be direct, but according to the ongoing
projects in Muthengera area I don't believe they will really have any impact to
the common man down there.
For instance the construction of chief's office
should not rank 1st before other pertinent issues like: a day secondary school,
provision of piped water or even rural electrification.

I actually believe that the information on this website can also be made
available through the constituency office, or we can call it constituency
information office.
constituency office
Kimani 25-11-08 23:30:05

My advise to tackle the PR question, which is very essential for political
survival, is that our Hon MP establish a constituency office in the major
shopping centres, especially Sipili, which will be fully equiped with
Information and communication Technology like Internet and Email, so that
constituents can feel that they are in touch with the MP.

Wanjiku Munene 25-11-08 09:03:15

Work on your PR urgently. You may have achived alot but the common wananchi is
not aware. You must break it down for them in simple terms. Maybe the MP should
have a monthly radio address very much like the US Prezo
insecurity-something done
n kariuki 25-11-08 04:52:56

Lets be logical befor making conclusions. The issue of insecurity in laikipia
west has been there since history.not long ago 60 people were killed on one
night and the cries went far and wide that even the current president visited
the area.in 2005 the insecurity called the attention of the then minister the no
nonsense MICHUKI.In the last 4yrs 12 teachers have been killed this makes an
average of 3 teachers per year, this year only one teacher has been killed
meaning the rate has gone down.In the 37 districts created laikipia west is the
first to have its own OCPD.more police officer have been posted in the area and
CID officers are now present.Sniffer dogs and trucker dogs are now available in
kinamba police post.Sipili and Marmanet p/posts will soon be upgraded to police
stations.Surely someone must be pulling the strings!
Insecurity - Temporary solution
kimani 21-11-08 09:49:27

Wanjiku munene, hear you too.But before Hon Saitoti and Haji act, we cannot just
wait and die in the hands on these criminals.Believe me, it is known that some
leaders are reaping from the small arms trade, and they are known, both in Local
Administration and political leadership at ward levels. Can the suspected leaders
confirm or deny these alegations.Otherwise, they should be working extra hard to
bring the culprits to book. And by the way, what happened to the Kinamba OCS who
used to entertain no nonsense??!!
Insecurity- Long term solution
Wanjiku Munene 21-11-08 06:41:23

I think we are being unrealistic here, the issue of insecurity is alarming even
at a national level. The issue of disarming and curtailing prolification on
illegal arms in Laikipia West requires a MAJOR operation there and in the
surrounding districts. We should be demanding Hon Saitoti and Hon Haji to speed
up this operation as this is really the long term solution. As residents we must
be prepared for the cosequences of such an operation, reference Mt Elgon
