His Eminence, Cardinal John Njue, The Chairman of Kenya Episcopal Conference reads a press statement from Catholic Bishops of Kenya  Press statement from Catholic Bishops of Kenya as read by His Eminence, Cardinal John Njue, The Chairman of Kenya Episcopal Conference:

 The Bishops came up with the press statement from their meeting at Tabor Hill spiritual centre- Nyahururu, to address all Catholic faithful, people of Good will.

 

Gradually Kenya is recovering from after 2007 election violence. However, there is still along way to go.

 

                             

                               The Bishops would like:

 

                              1. Full implementation of Waki & Kreigler reports

                              2. There should always be a winner and a loser in any election and the

                                  Loser should accept

                              3. IDP,s should be resettled and compensated

                              4. Performance of ECK was  less  than satisfactory

                              5. joblessness & insecurity of youth is a major issue

                              6. Promotion of oneness and accepting one another as one Nation.

                              7. Reconcilliation & forgiveness should be with God first and the with

                                  One another.

                             

 

The press statement was signed by all Catholic Bishops of Kenya
