Ng’arua Environmental Conservation and Livelihood(Necli) held a successful stakeholders meeting on 4th/2/2010 in the CBO’s office at Kinamba.  This dubbed as a progress review meeting and a platform to drum up support for an electric fence meant to wade off destructive elephants front the region.  The stakeholders who included the Hon. Ndiritu Muriithi, Member of Parliament, Laikipia West unanimously agreed that it was long overdue to put up a community managed fence. This will be a thirty four kilometer fence from Mwenje  via Wangwachi up to Ol Moran . The two strand fence will be backed up by a moot and a cactus fence. However preliminary EIA(Environmental Impact Assessment) will be conducted by NEMA prior to cactus planting.
